Join us for a virtual research briefing to learn more about the Portland regional cultural planning process.

You’re invited to learn more about our regional cultural planning process and lend your voice!

Earlier this year, the Our Creative Future team conducted more than 50 community listening sessions across Washington, Multnomah, and Clackamas Counties. More than 700 people took part in events between November 2022  and May 2023.

Public events were open to community members across the region, and by-invitation session participants were recruited by members of our Steering Committee, Project Management Team, and, in many instances, with the generous help of community-based organizations.

Research also included an open community survey (with 1,500 responses); a statistically-valid survey; an arts demand study; an arts grants review; a creative economy portrait; and an asset inventory.

Over the past few months, the project team and the Steering Committee have been unpacking what we heard and learned, and developing research findings which will inform a new regional cultural plan. As we move from research into developing the plan, we’re excited to share what we found and hear your responses.

We hope you can join us!

If you RSVP’d and are no longer able to attend, you can cancel your order by following these steps.

This effort is being led by staff from Portland’s City Arts Program; Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties; the cities of Hillsboro and Beaverton; the Metro regional government and the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC), with additional financial support from Travel Portland, Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, and the James F. & Marion L. Miller Foundation.
